Are you a results orientated people leader with an interest to work with a fast growing and dynamic healthcare provider?

 

A challenging Senior Supply Coordinator position has become available for experienced candidates to oversee the strategic direction and management of the supply department.



Key responsibilities:

  • The position is responsible for providing leadership to the Supply Department so as to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the hospital /facility
  • Provide operational direction for the department to ensure efficient and effective management of the area
  • Network with external supply companies, adhere to corporate contracts where applicable, or negotiate for cost efficient prices
  • Maintain stock inventory levels according to the demands of the facility ensuring efficient management of the stock, ordering and receiving, and invoice processing
  • Work as part of the healthcare team, Head Office procurement team adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, Occupational Health and Safety and achievement of hospital / facility accreditation
  • Take an active role in the management of OHS issues pertaining to the department so as to ensure a safe work environment and safe practice for staff. Ensure compliance with government / legislative requirement in relation to chemical handling and waste management
  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing learning and development relevant to the industry


Essential Criteria:

  • Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)
  • Advance IT literacy skills
  • Strong adherence to process and structure
  • Proven ability to implement cost saving measures
  • Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
  • Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Management and leadership experience within a supply department setting (desired)
  • Knowledge of medical products (desired)
