The role

Prince of Wales Private Hospital are currently seeking experienced Theatre Technicians to join operating team us on a Full-time Basis.

As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. We offer a supportive environment where our teams work closely to achieve the best patient outcomes and high standards of care. 


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering excellent service and care to patients
  • Maintain and clean theatre equipment
  • Liaise within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Theatre Technician / Theatre Assistant
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team


Desirable Criteria:

  • Possess a Certificate III in Health Service Assistance

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A – High Risk, Healthcare worker.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on the current Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope – NSW Health Professionals & Support Services - Enterprise Agreement 2017- 2021"
