The Role

Availability exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Endoscopy Technician to join our perioperative team.

Our Department

Our Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first stage recovery bays as well as an additional 32 second stage chairs.

Our specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Robotics, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Vascular surgery

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • The Endoscopy technician will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, testing, maintenance of Endoscopy equipment, and processing of Olympus 190 series and 1500 series scopes.
  • Onsight training and support is available for the most suitable candidate

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Good written and communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • A positive “can do” attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An ability to achieve high quality standards whilst working independently
  • GENCA accreditation
  • Flexibility of work hours

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Certificate III in sterilization services or working towards
