Sunnybank Hospital currently has a full time vacancy for an experienced Theatre Orderly Team Leader to join our established team.

About us
With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

As the Orderly Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

·       Over-seeing a high standard of evidence-based services to the operating theatre.

·       As the Orderly Team Leader, you will adhere to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards.

·       Plan, assess, implement and evaluate the cleaning of the theatre environment.

·       Provide leadership - providing direction, support, supervision and teaching to staff, allocating team members

Essential Criteria:

·       Certificate II

·       Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a senior role and 2 years in Team leaders position.

·       Work independently, prioritise jobs and work to a time line.

·       Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment, ability to anticipate peri-operative unit non clinical needs and respond accordingly

·       Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

·       Computer literacy skills - including MS office.

·       An interest in promoting best practice patient care

·       A focus on professional development

 
Desired:

·       Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR
