WARD CLERK – FULL TIME AND CASUAL

 

Are you an organised and experienced medical administrator looking to develop your career and make a difference in a fast-paced dynamic medical environment?  We are seeking an experienced Ward Clerk on a full time and Casual basis to support one of our busy Medical Units. Hourly rate from $33 to $37 per hour depending on experience.

As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • providing patient-centred customer service
  • welcoming and assist patients, visitors and staff ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
  • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism, empathy and confidentiality
  • maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records,
  • liaise with medical staff
  • undertaking general administration duties,
  • liaison with other areas of the hospital,

 

Essential Criteria:

  • experience in an acute patient focused healthcare facility/hospital,
  • highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments,
  • good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel),
  • a track record of providing great service and customer experience,
  • strong interpersonal communication,
  • ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
