Hunter Valley Private Hospital is currently seeking interested persons to apply for the following position:

REHABILITATION WARD CLERK - FULL TIME POSITION 76 hours per fortnight


As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
    • Manage a busy reception desk
    • Answer and redirect calls
    • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

 

Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. The hospital is an 83-bed hospital which offers a variety of surgical, rehabilitation and medical services. The successful applicant must possess the following:

  • Motivated self-starter who can work well under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Previous experience in administration or ward clerk experience
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well organized, excellent time management skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills


Desirable Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Webpas
  • An understanding of medical terminology
