The Opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and customer‑focused Administration Officer – Theatre Bookings to join our friendly and supportive Administration team.
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
These roles are ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering accuracy and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
As the Theatre Bookings Officer, you will play an integral role in coordinating surgical bookings and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing patient information for upcoming surgeries
- Receiving and processing patient admissions and consent forms
- Managing theatre lists and performing accurate data entry
- Liaising with doctors’ rooms to confirm booking details
- Monitoring and actioning emails and faxes received in group inboxes
You’ll be supported by the Administration Manager and Team Leader, along with a collaborative team that values professionalism, communication, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment
- Strong customer service background
- Excellent communication skills and a positive team‑focused attitude
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing environment
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of private health sector processes, including health fund contract tables and eligibility
- Understanding of medical terminology
