Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses for their Perioperative Unit. Applicants with scrub/scout or anaesthetics experience are encouraged to apply.

About us:
Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT and a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Darwin Private also has an 18 bed Mental Health & AOD unit, The Darwin Clinic, which also incorporates a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Program. Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Experience in Orthopaedics (preferred)
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
- NT Working with Children check
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
- Sound clinical decision making & Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Healthscope Darwin Private Hospital Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2024 ($43.37 - $58.49 per hour)
