About the role: 

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our perioperative team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

We have a Day of Surgery admission Centre as well as a Day Surgery / Endoscopy unit.  There are 2 procedure rooms which are utilized primarily for endoscopy as well as minor plastics and urological procedures.  Due to growth in theatre activity, we are seeking a part-time Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our team.

 Key responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; within your scope of practice to deliver exceptional patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice

 Essential Criteria:

• Authority to Work in Australia

• Working with Children check (if relevant)

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or Diploma of Nursing

• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

• Specialty scrub/scout nursing experience

• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement

• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLDNMA/ANMF- QLD Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, EN salary ranging from $36.74 - $39.78 per hour to RN Salary ranging from $41.49 - $66.23 per hour.
