The Opportunity

We are seeking motivated and passionate Enrolled Nurses to join our highly regarded Acacia (Surgical A Ward) team.

These are exciting opportunities for Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about surgical nursing and want to work in an environment that values clinical excellence, teamwork and individualised patient care.

At Acacia, our Enrolled Nurses are integral members of the multidisciplinary team. We encourage our staff to be proactive, take ownership of their professional development and contribute positively to patient outcomes and ward culture.

You will work alongside experienced Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and Allied Health professionals while caring for patients across a broad range of surgical specialties. We are looking for nurses who bring energy, initiative and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

About Acacia (Surgical A Ward)

Acacia (Surgical A Ward) provides care across a diverse range of specialties including:

• General Surgery
• Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery
• Colorectal Surgery
• Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery
• Breast Surgery
• Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
• ENT Surgery
• Complex Surgical Services

The ward plays a key role in supporting Norwest Private Hospital's recognised Centre of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, reflecting our commitment to excellence in surgical care, multidisciplinary collaboration and outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will:

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within your scope of practice.
• Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Support individualised patient care by recognising and responding to the unique needs of patients and their families.
• Contribute to a positive, engaged and collaborative ward culture.
• Demonstrate initiative and accountability in supporting patient care and service excellence.
• Actively participate in learning, professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Assist in coordinating care and supporting patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Support compliance with NSQHS Standards and clinical governance requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, excellence and continuous improvement.

About You

You are an Enrolled Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred care and enjoys being part of a collaborative surgical team.

You bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to a dynamic ward culture. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace learning opportunities and take pride in making a meaningful difference to the experiences of patients and their families.

You are proactive, adaptable and enjoy working alongside colleagues to find solutions, support one another and continually improve the care we provide.

Most importantly, you want to be part of a team where people feel empowered to contribute, grow professionally and work together to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Experience in an acute care environment, with surgical nursing experience highly regarded.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient-centred care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and willingness to contribute positively to team culture.
• Understanding of and commitment to NSQHS Standards.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within a private hospital environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience participating in quality improvement activities.
• An interest in developing knowledge and skills within a surgical specialty environment.
