About the role:
We are seeking passionate, skilled, and dedicated Group Therapy Facilitators to join our dynamic Day Program team!
Our program provides comprehensive, evidence-based support to individuals navigating their mental health recovery journeys. As a facilitator, you will deliver structured therapeutic groups designed to foster resilience, build coping mechanisms, and enhance the overall well-being of our participants.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based group therapy sessions within the Day Program framework.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment for all participants.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document participant progress and group dynamics in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with the day program and broader multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated experience facilitating therapeutic groups within a mental health, healthcare or community setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong ability to manage challenging situations and respond effectively in a therapeutic environment
- Commitment to recovery-oriented, patient-centred care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current registration with the relevant professional body, including one of the following:
o Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse (Division 1) with mental health experience
o Clinical Psychologist
o Social Worker
o Occupational Therapist
Desirable Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based group therapy programs, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotional Management and Development Program (EMDP), and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Knowledge of, or experience in, recovery-oriented therapeutic approaches within a mental health setting
- A strong interest in developing expertise in specialised therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team
