What the Graduate Nurse Program offers:

Our 12-month program (minimum 30 hours per week, full-time or part-time) is structured to help you build skills and confidence in your first year as an RN.

·         One or more rotations within your graduate stream over the 12-month program 

·         Ongoing employment contract from the start of the program (conditional)

Hospital Locations:

Our Graduate program is offered across a range of Hospitals in QLD, NT, NSW, VIC, SA & TAS

Graduate streams (availability varies by hospital and state):

·         General Nursing

·         Perioperative Nursing

·         Mental Health Nursing

·         Maternity (Registered Midwives only – advertised separately)

You’ll be able to nominate 1st, 2nd and 3rd hospital preferences and your preferred graduate stream when you apply. We’ll progress your application based on your first hospital preference wherever possible.

What you’ll be doing as a Graduate RN – every day will look a little different, but your responsibilities may include:

·         Assessing and monitoring patients

·         Administering medications and treatments

·         Providing wound care and supporting recovery

·         Educating patients and families about conditions and discharge plans

·         Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care

·         Advocating for your patients and providing emotional support

You’ll be supported as you grow your clinical judgement, communication skills and ability to manage a busy workload safely.

What we’re looking for & to be eligible, you’ll need:

·         Evidence of Australian working rights

·         Completion of a nursing course after 1 June 2026, or expected completion before 17 January 2027

·         Availability for a minimum of 30 hours per week on a rotating roster, including AM, PM, nights, weekends and public holidays

What to prepare for your application:

·         Your updated resume (mandatory)

·         Two recent student clinical placement reports (mandatory)

·         Proof of Australian working rights

·         – e.g. Australian / New Zealand passport, Australian birth certificate, or international passport with relevant Australian working visa evidence

·         If you currently hold a student or similar temporary visa:

·         A brief document outlining your proposed next visa plans

You’ll also be asked to select:

·         Your 1st, 2nd and 3rd preference hospitals across our network

·         The graduate stream(s) you are interested in
