About the role 

Knox Private Hospital is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to join our exceptional senior leadership team. You will play a key leadership role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have an exceptional experience during their care. Sherbrooke ward is an acute 30 bed mixed ward catering for both orthopaedic patients both emergent and elective, and our smallest patients, our surgical elective paediatric patients.  

As a NUM your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing clinical leadership to ensure that all patients and their families receive the highest level of patient care and have an exceptional patient experience 
  • Ensure clinical leadership to compliment the organisations strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients. 
  • Providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective patient management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based in conjunction with our dedicated surgeons and multidisciplinary team. 
  • Accountability and responsibility for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources to ensure adherence with operational KPI’s and fiscal management

Essential Criteria: 

  • Current Registration with AHPRA 
  • Working with Children check 
  • Previous experience at ANUM or NUM level, or equivalent 
  • Compliance with ACSQHCNational standards 
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role 
  • Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases 
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment 
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills 
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management 
  • Demonstrated HR management experience

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (Salay $70.93+ 12.5% Super)
