Knox Private Hospital is one of Victoria’s largest private hospitals.

Following a recent restructure of our Support Services team, we are excited to introduce a newly created leadership role: Orderly Manager.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to oversee our Orderly team. Using the CARPS system to manage up to 500 daily patient moves this role is critical in ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient service delivery across a busy 24/7 hospital environment.
This is a substantive operational leadership role with approximately 50 direct reports working across a continuous 7‑day roster.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will:
- Lead and manage an Orderly team of 50 staff across 24/7 operations
- Oversee up to 500 patient moves per day
- Train, mentor and upskill both new and existing team members
- Manage roster development and workforce scheduling
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with OHS, infection prevention and control standards
- Foster a positive, collaborative and service‑focused team culture
About You
You will be a strong operational leader who brings:
- Proven leadership experience in Support Services role—ideally within a hospital, healthcare or hospitality environment
- Experience using computerised rostering systems (e.g., Kronos)
- A strong customer service mindset and commitment to patient experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, adaptability and resilience in a dynamic setting
- Understanding of OHS and infection control best practice
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and empower staff
