Are you a highly motivated Quality Manager looking for a part time position? Melbourne Private Hospital are seeking an experienced Manager seeking to take their career to the next level.


About us

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgeryThese services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.


As the Quality Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate ongoing implementation and monitoring of the Hospital/Facility wide quality improvement program and to promote risk management to support the strategic direction.
  • Be responsible for and lead short notice accreditation. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Responsible and lead quality and clinical Governance outcomes.
  • Ensuring the hospital operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as striving for continuous improvement.
  • The coordination and implementation of the infection control program to ensure high quality patient care and staff safety in infection control.
  • Ensuring a safe practice and working environment for staff.
  •  Adapt to operational requirements.

Essential Criteria:

·         Authority to Work in Australia

·         Working with Children check

·         Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent

·         Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

·         Immunisation certificate

·         Auditing skills

·         Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·         Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement

·         Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·         Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $34.56 and $46.22 per hour).
