About the role
Sunnybank Private Hospital is looking to employ casual AINs in their Day Surgery Ward.
Applications are sought from suitable candidates wanting to work as an Assistant in Nursing as part of our dynamic nursing team.

Our perioperative Services Department features 7 operating theatres and 2 procedure rooms, supporting a diverse range of specialties including Orthopaedics, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), Plastic Surgery, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, and Endoscopy.

Key responsibilities:
· Assist nurses or hospital staff carrying out patient care duties
· Help with tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Day Surgery Unit
· Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
· Assess patients using therapeutic skills
· Answer patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
· Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer or similar
· Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
· Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
· Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLD Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary ranging from $33.16 - $36.36 per hour.
